Utah gets on the board with in-state PG Jaxon Brenchley

Utah nabbed their first recruit in the 2017 recruiting cycle as August closed out – a player not expected to make an impact until the 2019 season. 6′-5″ guard Jaxon Brenchley of Ridgeline (UT) announced his pledge.

Brenchley is expected to take a two year church mission prior to matriculating, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

As a junior at Mountain Crest (UT), Brenchley put up 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists per game.

With his size and skill level, Brenchley could eventually see time at either guard slot at Utah. In-state programs like Utah State and Utah Valley, along with others, were reportedly pursuing his pledge.
