Top-30 incoming junior Carte’Are Gordon announces contenders

6′-8″ power forward Carte’Are Gordon of Webster Groves (MO) is currently ranked No. 26 nationally in the 2018 class. Given that status there’s no surprise that as he narrowed his list of contending college basketball programs to eleven, it contains many of college basketball’s blue bloods.

Notre Dame, Kansas, Oklahoma State, USC, Kentucky, SMU, Missouri, Texas, Illinois, St. John’s, and Saint Louis made the cut to land Gordon, a bullish 250 pound big man, according to a Tweet he posted on Thursday.

Gordon recently captured a Gold medal in the World Championship as a member of USA Basketball’s U17 team. He averaged 11.6 points per game during the event, on 72% field goal shooting. He also grabbed 5.6 rebounds per game, in only 14 minutes each contest.
