Since taking ever as head coach at Auburn, Bruce Pearl has constantly been on the grind in overhauling the overall talent level for the Tigers. On Saturday that effort paid off in a big way as top 25 junior big man Austin Wiley announced his commitment to Auburn via Twitter, prior to a visit to campus.
I'm proud to say that I will be furthering my education and basketball career at Auburn University 🐅🔵🏀 #WarEagle

Wiley is considered by some to have the potential to be among the top players to come from Alabama in the last decade. The Spain Park (AL) standout has been involved in USA Basketball and also tested his game in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League.
The addition of Wiley is expected to come on the heels of signing top 25 senior wing Mustapha Heron in the 2016 class. Both additions are extremely promising for Pearl and his coaching staff going forward as either legitimately could have had their pick of most of the nation’s college basketball programs.
Wiley still has two more years of high school hoops and was important as a legacy commit to the program. Auburn fans may struggle to temper their expectations of him as a player, as he’ll likely be on the short list of McDonald’s All-American game contenders as a senior.
