Talented roster shows out in high-scoring Elite 24 game

A contingent of some of the country’s most talented high school basketball prospects participated in the 2016 Under Armour Elite 24 game, which was shown on ESPNU on Saturday.

The “Drive” team, led by Trevon Duval‘s 25 points and 9 assists, edged the “Clutch” team, which featured guard Isaiah Washington (a late addition to the game) and his 36 points.

Duval had plenty of help, as 2018 forward Zion Williamson poured in 23 points (10 of 10 shooting from the field) and grabbed 6 rebounds, and fellow top-10 prospect nationally Hamidou Diallo also added 22 points and 6 rebounds.

As for Washington, the 6′-0″ guard from St. Raymond’s (NY) was a consensus top 100 player before being added to the game, but no one could have predicted he’d net 36 points.

His squad also featured Auburn commit Austin Wiley, who had the game’s only double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds, and North Carolina pledge Jalek Felton, who scored 16 points and had 4 assists.
