Penn State added an important recruit on Tuesday night, as 6′-5″ wing Josh Reaves of Oak Hill Academy (VA) announced a verbal commitment to the Nittany Lions.
Reaves is arguably among the most talented players to commit to Penn State in a decade or so, and will finish high school with a resume that includes playing for two of the top programs in the country in Paul VI (VA) and Oak Hill Academy.
He can impact multiple positions at Penn State, and should arrive ready to play in State College. Reaves also plays in the loaded traveling team program, Team Takeover, in the Nike EYBL. In EYBL play, Reaves averaged 10.9 points per game and also snagged 3.6 rebounds.
Penn State landed two high school guards in the ’14 recruiting cycle in Shep Garner and Isaiah Washington. Reaves could add another dimension to what could be a quality trio.
Additionally, Reaves joins in-state big man Mike Watkins in the Nittany Lions class. Watkins also projects as a multi-year starter at Penn State.
I am truly blessed to announce that I have committed to Penn State University
