One of the summer’s top risers in the 2017 class, 6′-7″ wing forward Jordan Usher of Wheeler (GA), announced his commitment to USC on Monday.

Usher is the first pledge for the Trojans in the 2017 class. He plays on one of the most talented public high school teams in the country at Wheeler (GA) and also on the grassroots circuit with the Atlanta Celtics.

USC had to beat out Arizona State and others to land Usher’s services. Usher is a player clearly on the rise after posting 21.8 points per game and pulling in almost 8 rebounds each contest in the adidas Gauntlet.

Along with Usher, USC has former top 15 prospect Derryck Thornton Jr. who is waiting in the wings to be an eligible sophomore after transferring from Duke, as Usher arrives to campus.
