The pipeline from DeMatha Catholic (MD) to Notre Dame has been fortuitous as of late, and it continued on Tuesday night. Top 30 wing D.J. Harvey of the aforementioned DeMatha Catholic (MD), who was arguably the top 2017 prospect being pursued by the Fighting Irish, announced for Notre Dame.

Harvey picked Notre Dame over Alabama (where he recently visited), along with Connecticut and Texas. For most of high school, Harvey was a top 10 prospect in his class.

Skilled, physically ready to compete and a high-caliber player who can excel in Notre Dame’s system, Notre Dame has a terrific prospect who should be a multi-year starter when he hits campus in 2017.

Harvey looks to be a quality addition to a strong ACC program, and a great start to Notre Dame’s 2017 recruiting class.
