Two of the premier wings in the country, John Petty and Chaundee Brown both cut colleges involved in their recruitments on Saturday, to each achieve a manageable list.
A top-20 prospect from J.O. Johnson (AL), Petty’s recruitment has long been believed to be a two-horse race between Kentucky and Alabama, though Kansas, Connecticut and Florida State were all named as finalists.

Meanwhile, one of the fastest rising prospects of the summer, Brown of The First Academy (FL), named four finalists for his services. Brown’s play in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League elevated his status to that of a top-50 overall prospect. Kansas also made the cut for Brown, who also has his home-state program Florida involved, along with Maryland and Wake Forest.
