NC State lands frontcourt help, Lennard Freeman

The NC State Wolfpack landed a fifth member of its 2013 recruiting class on Monday, as 6′-7″, 180 pound Oak Hill Academy (VA) power forward Lennard Freeman announced his pledge via his Twitter account. Freeman reportedly picked NC State over the Pittsburgh Panthers, Villanova Wildcats, DePaul Blue Demons and UAB. He was also previously considering a year of prep school.

Freeman, a native of the Washington, DC area, joins a frontcourt rich class for the Wolfpack, which signed Top 100 high school big men Beejay Anya and Kyle WashingtonThe class also includes junior college guard Desmond Lee and quick point guard Anthony Barber.

Barber is the highest-rated player in the class, and Freeman is not currently ranked by any source. He played in the top notch Oak Hill Academy program, and could a four-year power forward in the NC State program, starting slow as a role player.

Freeman is a solid addition with few big men of note left on the board.
