Michigan wins in-state recruiting battle for Isaiah Livers

Michigan beat out Michigan State and other programs to land in-state 6′-7″ combo forward Isaiah Livers of Kalamazoo Central (MI) on Sunday.

Livers is considered a borderline top 100 player, and joins touted shooting guard Jordan Poole and steady point guard Eli Brooks in the class to date for the Wolverines.

The addition of Livers gives the Wolverines depth at both forward slots, as with 220 pounds, Livers has the ability to step in and provide versatility on the frontline.

Playing in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League for Chicago-based Meanstreets, Livers averaged 9 points and 5 rebounds per game. Going forward, Livers already is a good shooter and can continue to develop that skill to really increase his effectiveness in the Michigan offense.

The addition of Livers should be a strong fit in Michigan’s system, and there’s little doubt beat out the in-state Spartans to land him makes the win that much sweeter.
