Michigan State builds with Bridges

Flint, Michigan native Miles Bridges, a top 15 prospect in the 2016 class, announced his intention to attend Michigan State on Saturday. Bridges, a power wing at 6′-6″, popped for the Spartans over Indiana and Kentucky.

Bridges’ decision marks two consecutive weeks in which the Spartans and head coach Tom Izzo have received a top 50 pledge, as in-state point guard Cassius Winston announced last week. Top 25 prospect wing Josh Langford and top 100 big man Nick Ward compose a powerful class for Michigan State which seems likely to be ranked as a top 5 national class when it’s all said and done.

Simply put, Bridges has a powerful build, above-average athleticism and a well-rounded offensive game. He’s a junkyard dog in terms of his motor and has the possibility of having high success at Michigan State due to his fit with the system. Bridges has played a high-level schedule and largely been a mismatch at the high school level at Huntington Prep (WV). As all the pieces fall into place for the 2016 Michigan State roster, Bridges projects to start immediately in East Lansing.
