Vanderbilt now has a second recruit locked in for the 2017 season, as 6′-2″ combo guard Maxwell Evans of Bellaire (TX) announced his pledge on Sunday.

Evans joins Arizona guard Saben Lee (the son of former NFL player Amp Lee) in the class to date for the Commodores.

In Evans and Lee, Vanderbilt now has a very athletic pair of guards to supplement the existing guards on the roster. When the pair hits campus, Riley LaChance and transfer Larry Austin will be both upperclassmen, allowing both new guards time to develop as freshman.

Evans is a speedy scorer, while Lee is a more natural distributor. Both can find their nice as new head coach Bryce Drew puts his stamp on the Vanderbilt program going forward.
