Jerald Butler verbals to the Butler Bulldogs

Butler may have landed their point guard for the future on Friday, as 6′-4″ Jerald Butler announced his pledge on the heels of an official visit to campus.

Looking forward, Butler doesn’t have much depth at the lead guard slot and Butler could certainly see time as a freshman at his namesake program if he comes in ready to play.

Butler joins in-state shooting guard Cooper Neese in the class to date.

On the spring and summer circuit, Butler played for the stellar Florida Vipers program in the Under Armour Association. On a balanced squad, Butler averaged 10 points per game (53% shooting) and 3 rebounds.
