Wing Anthony Polite of St. Andrews (FL) picked Florida State over Miami in an in-state recruiting showdown on Tuesday. Polite is a legacy recruit for the Seminoles, as his father Michael previously played there.

At 6′-6″, Polite has good size and a solid skill level for the small forward slot. Polite joins his Florida Vipers grassroots teammate, power forward RaiQuan Gray and Kansas guard Bryan Trimble as early pledges to the ‘Noles at this point in the 2017 recruiting cycle.

Polite demonstrated his versatility as a junior at St. Andrews, averaging 22 points and 8 rebounds per game for a team that boasted an impressive 26-2 record. He was born in Switzerland.

Given his overall skill and ability, Polite has the potential to be a consensus top 150 player in the 2017 class before it’s all said and done. The addition of Polite also means Florida State could be done with recruiting for the 2017 class.
