ESPN announces televised high school hoops schedule

14 Game Schedule Includes Top 7 Teams Across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU

The 2012-13 GEICO ESPN High School Basketball Showcase will feature the top teams and ranked players in in 14 games across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU from Dec. 13, 2012 through Feb. 10, 2013.

The schedule tips off on Thursday, Dec. 13 with a doubleheader on ESPN featuring: Aaron Gordon (Archbishop Mitty) facing early Kentucky Wildcats signees Andrew Harrison and Aaron Harrison (Travis) in Houston at 8 p.m. ET followed by Jabari Parker (Simeon) against Duke Blue Devils signee Matt Jones (DeSoto) in Dallas at 9:30 p.m.

In total, four of the Top 7 seniors in the country are scheduled to play during the Showcase opening night which includes a 7:30 p.m. game on ESPNU and the doubleheader on ESPN.

January’s games are highlighted with the 2013 Spalding Hoop Hall Classic on ESPN and ESPNU January 20-21. The event brings together top teams and players from across the nation and this year’s rosters includes: Andrew Wiggins (Huntington Prep) vs. Noah Vonleh (New Hampton School), BYU bound Nick Emery and Eric Mika (Lone Peak) vs. Aaron Gordon (Archbishop Mitty), and Jabari Parker (Simeon) vs. Indiana Hoosiers signee Troy Williams (Oak Hill).
