Elite Oklahoma guard Trae Young sets official visit dates

6′-2″ guard Trae Young of Norman North (OK) announced he was down to six college choices near the end of July, and has now set official visit dates for most of his finalists.

A pre-eminent scoring point guard in the ’17 class, and the No. 16 overall prospect, Young is set for the following trips:

  • Oklahoma – September 16-18
  • Texas Tech – September 29 – October 1
  • Kentucky – October 14-16
  • Kansas – October 21-23

With trips not yet scheduled to Oklahoma State and Washington, it’s been assumed that those schools are presently on the outside, looking in, to Young’s recruitment. NCAA rules allow for five official visits.
