6′-2″ point guard Jalen Brunson of Stevenson (IL) is arguably the best pure point guard nationally in the 2015 class.

The son of former Temple standout and NBA player Rick Brunson, Jalen Brunson came into his own as a junior and averaged 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game during a season in which his squad made it to the 4A semifinals in Illinois.

On Saturday, Brunson narrowed his list of colleges to his father’s Temple program, Big Ten programs Illinois, Purdue, Michigan and Michigan State, as well as traditional powers UConn, Kansas, and Villanova.

Brunson runs with the Mac Irvin Fire on the grassroots circuit. There’s no doubt his recruitment will be heavily contested, but the winner will be rewarded with nothing less than an elite level point guard.
