COMMIT: 2014 PG PJ Thompson to Purdue

Shortly after receiving a scholarship offer from the Purdue Boilermakers, Brebeuf Jesuit (IN) lead guard P.J. Thompson pulled the trigger and pledged.

Regarding his decision, Thompson posted to his Twitter account,”After a long process, I have officially decided to be a Boiler! Excited to be apart of the Purdue basketball family!”

An in-state prospect, Thompson averaged 24 points and 2 assists as a senior, according to the IndyStar

Purdue will have some incoming talent to break out of the doldrums of the Big Ten next season, with five incoming pledges, including Thompson. Center Isaac Haas and forward Vincent Edwards are considered top-100 caliber players, while Thompson, wing Dakota Mathias and forward Jacquil Taylor are less regarded.
