Colorado hits daily-double with two pledges

No college basketball program had a better Saturday than Colorado, which landed a pair of top notch forward prospects. In-state wing D’Shawn Schwartz of Sand Creek (CO) at 6′-5″ and Tyler Bey of Middlebrooks Academy (CA) both popped for the Buffs.

Schwartz is in the Hoopniks.com Top 125, while Bey fell just outside that list. Schwartz reportedly picked Colorado over Butler, and as arguably the most talented in-state prospects, he represents a huge addition to the program.

Meanwhile, Bey at 6′-8″ has terrific upside, and was also considering Arizona State, along with Fresno State, New Mexico, Wyoming and San Diego State.

Colorado loses several upperclassmen wings, and both Schwartz and Bey have a chance to step in and contribute. Schwartz is perhaps farther ahead of Bey at this point, but both are quality fits for the system and the program going forward.
