Slam Dunk to the Beach is Back

The Delaware Sports Commission has announced the national slate of high school teams that will participate in the return of the renowned Slam Dunk to the Beach basketball tournament, which will be held at Cape Henlopen High School from December 27-29, 2014. Duke Blue Devils bound 6′-11″ center Jahlil Okafor of Whitney Young (IL) was selected as the Parade Player of the Year on Sunday, in 58th Annual selection of All-America basketball teams by the publication. Cliff Alexander named Naismith Player of the Year

Kansas-bound power forward Cliff Alexander of Curie (IL) was named Naismith Player of Year by the Atlanta Tip-Off Club on Friday. Alexander was selected over fellow finalists Jahlil Okafor of Whitney Young (IL) and Stanley Johnson of Mater Dei (CA). Okafor is headed to play for the Duke Blue Devils, while Johnson has signed with the Arizona Wildcats. Three finalists named for Naismith Award

The Atlanta Tipoff Club named the three finalists for the Naismith Trophy Boy’s High School Player of the Year on Tuesday. Center Jahlil Okafor of Whitney Young (IL), power forward Cliff Alexander of Curie (IL) and small forward Stanley Johnson of Mater Dei (CA) were selected as the finalists.
