Cliff Alexander named Naismith Player of the Year


Kansas-bound power forward Cliff Alexander of Curie (IL) was named Naismith Player of Year by the Atlanta Tip-Off Club on Friday. Alexander was selected over fellow finalists Jahlil Okafor of Whitney Young (IL) and Stanley Johnson of Mater Dei (CA). Okafor is headed to play for the Duke Blue Devils, while Johnson has signed with the Arizona Wildcats. The Atlanta Tipoff Club named the three finalists for the Naismith Trophy Boy’s High School Player of the Year on Tuesday. Center Jahlil Okafor of Whitney Young (IL), power forward Cliff Alexander of Curie (IL) and small forward Stanley Johnson of Mater Dei (CA) were selected as the finalists. Naismith announces inaugural Hoophall West
