2016 Player rankings refresh: No. 8, Malik Monk

Height: 6′-4″

Weight: 190

Wingspan: 6′-6″

Position: SG

High School (State): Bentonville (AR)

Club Team (Affiliation): Arkansas Wings (Nike)

Our Take: With arguably as much bounce to the ounce as any high school prospect in the country, Monk is at times unguardable for even the above-average high school foe. Still, there’s an increasing school of thought that Monk could at some point in the future become a deluxe, explosive point guard. For now, Monk is flat out dangerous in transition and can put up points as well as anyone in the 2016 class. Gaining a consistent outside stroke remains of the utmost importance for Monk’s future NBA aspirations, but it’s not up for debate that Monk can be among the most productive members of the class as a college freshman.
