2016 Player rankings refresh: No. 6, Dennis Smith

Height: 6′-2″

Weight: 180

Wingspan: 6′-3″

Position: PG

High School (State): Trinity Christian (NC)

Club Team (Affiliation): Team Loaded (adidas)

Commitment: NC State Wolfpack

Our Take: A plug-and-play point guard for the next level, Smith has the speed, quickness and athleticism to be a rare impact performer in the ACC during his initial season. Smith is currently overcoming from a summer ACL injury and is certainly young enough to make it a distant memory as the 2016-2017 college basketball season arrives. While Smith can run an offense and distribute the ball, he’s a terrific scorer and can finish creatively. Smith has the potential to be an upper echelon point guard early on in his time at NC State, especially if he continues focus on his burgeoning lock-down defender skills.
